It was one of the first pieces where I had the freedom to sink a lot of time and detail into an idea that didn’t come directly from a print or from obvious reference points.

You see a range of different expressions and all the demons around the Central King.

They’re all expressing different aspects.

Some appear like they’re trying to be tough.

Others appear like they’re, you know... trying to be sycophants or disappointed or cowering, or giving each other shit down the bottom."
